Memory Mountain

Located in the spectacular far west MacDonnell Ranges and 230km from Alice Springs, Memory Mountain is home to The Cross, a 20m symbol of hope.

This is the Indigenous-led vision of the desert communities of Haasts Bluff, Papunya, Mt Liebig and Kintore.

Visitors can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding countryside from the summit and various rest stops along the way. The 960m trek to the summit takes approximately 45 – 60 minutes. This is a Grade 4 walk, so please wear sturdy walking shoes and bring plenty of water.

The climb exposes the vast landscapes and majestic beauty of the region. This is one for the bucket list and a must-do on your visit to the Red Centre.
