Dancers, Rachael McDinny and Eunice Isaac at Malandarri Festival 2022

Malandarri Festival

The Malandarri Festival takes place in the community of Borroloola in the Roper Gulf Region of the Northern Territory, where the the Yanyuwa, Garrwa, Gurdanji and Mara peoples invite you onto Yanyuwa Country to celebrate culture through music and dance.

Each year, the two-day event attracts many people, performers and dancers from neighbouring communities as well as visitors to experience culture on country at this family friendly alcohol-free event.

Expect to see performances by various traditional dance groups from the region, local and Territory musicians from further afield performing on the stage after sunset, and a variety of arts and crafts workshops.

For more detailed information about how to get there, where to stay and what to bring, contact Artback NT.

We look forward to welcoming you!
