Mataranka War Memorial

The memorial consists of a granite boulder set on a square plinth formed of flagstones with a white painted flagpole alongside the boulder.

A brass plaque is fixed to the boulder. The memorial sits at the southern end of the Stan Martin Park in Mataranka.

R.S.L. commemorates the memory of the fallen and returned service men and women of Mataranka within the roper river district who were involved in Australia’s past conflicts “lest we forget”
